Scary Bus

Filed under Uncategorized on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 10:11 am

I had to share this scary photo! We were on I-5 heading to San Fran when this lopsided bus passed us – going 77! Eventually, Tim got by him. It was filled with people!

Trip to San Francisco

Filed under Family, Friends, Travel on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 9:25 am

Last weekend, I made a whirlwind trip to San Francisco. Tim met his friend David who was on vacation in the city. I drove up with him on Saturday and flew back on Monday. We had so much fun. On Saturday, we stayed with our friends David and Steven. It happened to be Steven’s birthday and he was in a play called “The Secret Garden”. We went to dinner with them, saw the play and went to Fenton’s Ice Cream Parlor. I love hanging out with those boys. They are so warm and fun! It’s always a blast. Once again, I hit the Bay area with no coat! I don’t know why I keep doing it. Tim, David and I were all freezing on Saturday so we ended up buying jackets before the play.

On Sunday, we met up with Rich who took us to Tiburon. The picture next to this posting is from there. You can see the bottom of the Golden Gate Bridge peaking through the fog between the sail boats.

Rich and I had a lot of fun! We ate so much and shopped! It was too short!

The Things you do for Love

Yesterday when I went grocery shopping, I saw this newly decorated mail box in front of the NBC Studios. I could not believe how great it was! I came home and told Tim that I wanted to take a picture. He said that they are going to pop up all over the place in honor of the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars”. Today, I had it on my mind and asked him to take me up there. He’s had a VERY busy three weeks and has barely come up for air. He had a million errands and did it anyway, which I thought was so sweet. So – instead of titling this entry anything about R2, I thought I would title it something funnier. Being married is such an odd thing – you do a lot of small things you don’t want to do just for the other person.

LA Traffic

Yesterday we had some friends over for dinner. We decided go to the Grove/Farmer’s Market to get some wine and shop for a new rug. We got done around 1:30 and started back. Normally, it would take 20 minutes to get home, but we hit bad traffic. We got stuck going through Hollywood. It took us an hour to get to Burbank and when we got to Franklin in Hollywood, I got a perfect view of the Hollywood sign.
